Project Engagement

In the second phase

The second phase, the Project Engagement, is the fulfillment of phase one recommendations along with the information developed from the Analysis Engagement in an implementation project. A team of INFINITE Software professionals will complete the migration of the legacy applications, redesign the UI to provide web-based client access and implement business intelligence tools.

The mitigation of risk is the spirit that drives our efforts. We draw on the experience of migration and modernization projects that we have managed since the early 1970s, each one a little different, to ensure consistency while working to optimize the efficiencies of migrated and/or modernized applications. For migrated applications this means managing the migration process using INFINITE toolsets to rehost legacy code to its new platform without changing the underlying logic. In fact, our experts will execute object code from the original source, thus insuring that migrated applications process efficiently on their new target platforms.

Once migrated, you will see that the data is accessible quickly using standardized 21st century database technology from companies such as Oracle and they will insure that older hard-coded processes are replaced using web services. For Modernization projects, graphical screens are designed and implemented using web-based technology and interfaces are modernized using web services and SOA technology.

In the Project Engagement, experts from INFINITE Software will use the information and plan produced in the Analysis Engagement to do the work of taking important business applications that successfully run many businesses and transform them in to 21st century, webbased and platform independent software. Those applications will be graphical, web-enabled and have the ability to use SOA technology to integrate with other infrastructure products such as Oracle's Fusion, IBM's WebSphere or BEA's WebLogic.

We will work with your project team to plan, design, migrate and successfully implement the proper INFINITE Software solution based on your unique business needs. As we move through the project tasks, we will work with your team to transfer the skills and provide the training you will require to administer and maintain the Migrated or Modernized application.
