Fifty years on IBM i. Now we help you move on.

Infinite Corporation has built tools for the IBM midrange platform since 1975 — through the System/3, the AS/400, the iSeries, and IBM i. That history is why we can move these applications forward without breaking them: we know what's underneath.

Our history

Fifty years on the IBM midrange — and still building.

1975

Founded — and our IBM partnership begins

Infinite Corporation is founded, building tools for the IBM midrange. Our relationship with IBM dates to day one.

1980

First Microsoft contract

The start of a decades-long Microsoft partnership that continues today across Azure.

1988

The AS/400 era

As IBM launches the AS/400, Infinite's tooling follows the platform through every generation — iSeries, System i, and IBM i.

2010s

To the cloud

Partnerships with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud as enterprises move to hyperscale infrastructure.

2020s

Native Linux migration & Kyndryl

Infinite i recompiles IBM i applications to native Linux on AWS, Azure, and GCP, anchored by a global partnership with Kyndryl.

Today

100,000+ installations · 56 countries

Five decades on, Infinite serves global banks, manufacturers, retailers, insurers, and government agencies worldwide.

What we believe

The applications aren't the problem. The platform lock-in is.

For decades, businesses were told that leaving IBM i meant rewriting everything from scratch — a risk most could never justify. We don't accept that trade-off. The RPG and COBOL logic running your business is valuable and correct; it simply deserves to run on modern, affordable infrastructure. Our job is to make that move boring: predictable, scoped, and reversible in its risk.

01

Preserve the logic

The business rules encoded over decades are an asset. We migrate them intact rather than rebuilding from a blank page.

02

Respect the operators

We give end users and developers familiar workflows on modern tools, not a disruptive relearning project.

03

Make it accountable

Fixed scope, fixed price, validated results. Modernization should be a project you can plan, not a gamble.

Five decades in, we're still building for IBM i.

Whether you're modernizing this year or planning for the next refresh cycle, we'd like to hear about your estate.

The Infinite i platform and its add-ons
